Dear parents and children, with this last activity we will close what we learned in the period.
It is a closing activity that not only involves the manual skills learned by the kids, it also involves a reflection that I consider important at the moment: To understand the value that we must give to our environment, being more aware of all the waste we produce.

  • It is for you to develop it during your vacation period, you have til 20th april 2020
Your own cats toys/sculpture

These Toilet Roll Cats are just so simple and so fun!

Materials needed:

  • Toliet paper rolls or kitchen paper cores
  • black paint
  • pipe cleaners
  • some yellow paper
  • black marker
  • Liquid silicone or glue

Step 1:
Start by squishing down the top of the paper tube cores to create to ears, as show in the photo.

Step 2:
Paint with black paint and leave aside to dry. The joy of painting toilet roll cores is that the paint soaks in and dries super fast.

Step 3:
When dry it’s time to watch the cats emerge…
– cut lemon shape pieces of yellow paper and draw the pupils on with black marker
– glue on the eyes
– make little holes in the cores, push in the pipe cleaners and bend to make the tail and whiskers

Hello Kids and Parents

Welcome to the art virtual class

Today we are going to have fun this St. Patrick’s Day celebration making this cute leprechaun puppet craft kids and parents!

Materials Needed to Make Wiggly Paper Leprechauns

  • Gold and Green Glitter fomy or yellow and green cardboard
  • Black Cardboard
  • Green Cardboard
  • Brown Cardboard
  • Large Orange Pom Poms or orange wool
  • Paint for the leprechaun hands or you can use colored paper instead (pale cream).
  • Photo – print a photo of yourself, you will need a photo where nothing is in front of the face (like hair or hands).
  • Printable Template – attached is the image with it

Steps to Make a St Patrick’s Day Paper Leprechaun

1. First, print off the template, or you can use it from your computer screen to create your own template if you don't have a printer
2. Make the body by tracing around green glitter paper for the body and black cardstock for the belt. Glue the belt to the body.

3. Trace around the belt buckle template on gold glitter cardstock. Bend the buckle slightly to make a mark with scissors in the middle so you can cut out the center.

4. Make the accordion legs and arms. Cut out 4 strips of paper. Make the arms slightly smaller than the legs.
Then accordion fold the pieces.
5. Glue the arms and legs to the body.

6. Trace around brown cardstock for the boots. Glue the boots to the back of the wiggly legs.

7. Trace around colored paper for the hands or use paint to color the hands. Then glue the hands to the wiggly arm paper pieces.

8. Make the hat for the head.
Trace around green glitter cardstock for the hat. Add a strip for the brim of the hat from black cardstock. Make the hat buckle with gold glitter cardstock. You can bend the center of the buckle to cut it out.
Glue the hat to the photo.
9. Finally, glue large orange pom poms around the face.
Then glue the face to the leprechaun body.
