Welcome to our first virtual art class


The last class we leave as a homework the materials for the next class, in these case, a canvas to develop our final landcape, the acrylic paintings you already has it as the flat paint brushes.

As reminder for the topic, im gonna leave a short video that we saw in the first classes

Topic: Art history: Impressionism
Objective: identify the impressionist style to develop a painting with the impressionist brushstrokes and shapes

Dear students, for this occasion we are going to develop an impressionistic painting in a canvas, applying the knowledge previously seen, of form, light and brushtrokes. 

Attached there are 4 videos explaining the steps to develop a field or impressionistic landscape.

The idea is that each student will develop in your own canvas the exercise, you have till april 1st to send the process and the painting finished in photos through email linahernandez@gcmeryland.edu.co and skype live:lina717_91

Date: 23th April 2020, DAY 5
Topic: LQA
Objective: Close the topics seen in the first period

We will close the first period with a test of 10 questions in kahoot, about edgar degas, first you will have 15 minutes to review and search the information about the art movement, then we will enter zoom, you will type www.kahoot.it and the teacher will share her screen for you to see the questions and answer options, then you will enter the pin and your nickname, remember it must be your real name and last name for a correct identification. 
Remember that each question has 30 seconds of time to answer, the results are automatic, and the score corresponds to the number of answers you have correct, for example, if you answer the 10 questions, you have 10, if you answer 5, your score will be that number.

Colour  Identify and relate that colors have an objective as well as subjective connotation, in the different artistic practices giving account of it, through plastic and visual exercises.  Colour perception

We will watch this video to understand how colour perception works, and develop our own colour perception gamma identifying and locating in the degrade, the long, medium and short cones, the basis of our work should be a blank sheet.

Topic: Colour temperature and Colour Emotions LQA
Objective: understand and apply the subjective and objective colour concepts

We will see two videos to understand the colours in a subjective (temperature) and objective (emotions/psychology) way, when we got those concepts clear, you will develop your own compositions aplying them 1 for the subjective form of colour and 1 for the objective form of color, I will leave some examples of composition above.
